Creating art is having a conversation with oneself. It’s an opportunity to express our innermost, and often hidden, feelings. This takes courage to allow these emotions to reveal themselves. It is a way to share the truth and it’s the truth in art that we relate to.
Learning to create this way is like playing jazz. It’s another form of improvisation and requires being fully present. It’s playful, spontaneous, and intuitive. It’s an opportunity to explore our personal experience of our present moment. Most of the images I create are an expression of this.
