Transformation of the Bird

BUSY BIRDS

I have finished almost 13 of the series of 20 and now the real challenge begins.  In this early piece, the birds and the “pod” are busy, perhaps they just landed, maybe even carrying the mother pod.  The Franklin Seagull is perched viewing the activity. There is fun, liveliness and a sense of peacefulness.  This will change, of course.

Now that I am beyond halfway, I have noticed in my most recent pieces (not yet shown) the chickens are dying.  They have become face down, feet up in the boat, their primary means of making the transformation. In fact, in the two images created yesterday, there were NO live birds at all.   It’s not a sad transition, just a quiet movement into another place.  I am looking forward to seeing what this is.
