Embellishing the Countryside

I have landed in India but still processing my experience in England…much to try to comprehend and with an experience of history I’ve never encountered and won’t fully explain here.  We’ve experienced ghosts, castles, moats, fog and the love of good friends.

My 6 am ride from the Delhi airport to the hotel was directly in view of the rising orange sun, slightly hidden behind the intense smog and smell of smoke.  The monkeys were already screaching and waiting for their banana’s and the traffic was just beginning.  My driver drove down the center of the line instead of inside the line, but he informed me that this will be the most civilized driving experience I will have.  I’ve been there before in other countries but it didn’t warm my heart to read that the number one cause of accidental deaths in India was driving.  So here we begin.
